I’d get more sense and a much more polite treatment
Hello readers, how are you? Have you had a good week? Hope all is well with you. Another mixed bag this week, started off on an amazing high, which should of been a warning sign really that things wouldn’t end on such a good note, but never mind, hopefully the kinks will work themselves out. So, you might be asking yourself what started my week on such a high, well I’m keeping that under my hat, so to speak, for now, I don’t want to jinx it by telling you all until I know for sure it’s happening. As soon as I know for sure you’ll know as well, it’s pretty life changing really and it’s going to mean a lot of growing up quite quickly for me, scary!
Other things that have happened this week are a bit boring really, just had a bad week in general after the first couple of days. I’m getting increasingly frustrated with employers not having the decency to get back to you about whether you have been successful at getting a job or not, I had an interview the other week and I thought it went well, I was supposed to find out last week whether I’d got the job or not, still no phone call! I had to phone them in the end and got through on my 100th attempt, I may be slightly exaggerating but you get my point, for them to tell me the person I needed to speak to wasn’t there but it was fairly safe to say I hadn’t got the job. Now I know when you just put an application in chances are unless they want to interview you it’s unlikely that you hear anything, but I was interviewed for this one and told I was one of ten, who is really that lazy or rude not to make nine ‘Sorry you haven’t been successful’ phone calls?! I mean we’re British, we’re supposed to be polite, but I’m finding more and more that most employers I’ve dealt with seem to be down right rude so far! And the Job Centre don’t seem to be much better, half the time I may as well talk to myself!
I’d understand if there was twenty people being interviewed, but if that’s the case send an email!
And on top of all that me and mum aren’t really getting on at the moment, she seems to be taking advantage of the fact that I’m home far too much and as soon as I say no, she threatens to chuck me out, because obviously I have so many places I can go! I’m trying to lose some weight as well as expand my art and design portfolio while I have no job, you know, making the most of the extra free time and all that. But it seems lately that as soon as I start sorting some space and getting things I need to work out she suddenly has a list of things she ‘needs’ me to do so I haven’t actually worked out properly in about 3 weeks! Aside from going to Tesco for her that is, which she seems to make me get all the heavy stuff knowing it’s just over a mile walk from our house if you go the short way even though she is perfectly capable of ordering that stuff online or getting dad to take her in the car! I’ll have a triangle neck bookofmatches soon the amount of stuff she makes me carry and that is not the look I’m going for really!
